How do I choose the best Microblading and Permanent Makeup Artist? Since microblading is a semi-permanent procedure and can be combined with other procedures that are considered permanent, you should definitely do your research and ask about each artists' background!

*Each artist should be able to supply you with the proper information regarding where they received their training (ask to see their certificate and research organization that is listed on the certificate), how much experience they have, and also provide evidence of their work, which should be consistent with information provided! Your chosen artist should also be serious about continuing their own education in this industry in order to provide the best service to clients.

Where did Beauty Kulture, LLC and Ashley Danielle receive her training, and how much training does she have? Ashley Danielle received her training from the American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics, and she has had more than 100 hours of training working under supervision! She is also OSHA Certified in Bloodborne Pathogens! Along with her extensive training, Ashley Danielle also holds legitimate credentials as a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, and Certified Teacher in the State of Texas, so she definitely understands skin structure, skin types, color theory, proper stroking and skin depth, health/sanitation, geometry, teaching methods, and she's a natural artist by nature!

How Do You Determine The Shape of My Brows? The consultation begins by using a small ruler to measure the distance between various facial features. By analyzing the resulting spatial relationships, we can calculate symmetry, and customize a brow design that will achieve the best shape and symmetrical look for your face.

Does It Hurt? - Anesthetic is applied prior to the service, as well as throughout your procedure. Most clients feel very little discomfort (if any).

How Should I Care For My Brows After The Service? The eyebrow and surrounding area should be kept as dry as possible for 2 weeks. This includes limiting showers to 5 minutes or less, no swimming, saunas, steam, sweat or products on or around the area. Please do not use any oils or moisturizers across the forehead or eyelids. When showering, please take extra care to ensure they are kept as dry as possible as this will help the pigment settle into the skin for longer lasting results. Remove eye makeup in a downward direction on cotton pads. Do not scrub, pick or scratch the eyebrows. If you get any peeling, do not assist it. Make sure to follow the aftercare instructions provided as best you can.

How Long Will My Microblading Last? - Skin type, life style, and how well you take care of your tattoo affects how long your microblading will last. I suggest clients have a refresh treatment every 12-24 months to keep the shape looking its best, but everyone's skin is different. Factors such as sun exposure, swimming, products that contain alpha hydroxy acids, exfoliating treatments, medications/illnesses can affect the fading of your tattoo. I suggest clients have a refresh treatment every 12 months to keep the shape looking its best!

However, no guarantees are offered or implied in regards to how long it will last before you need to have your refresh appointment. Skin is unpredictable and there are many factors that can affect your tattoo.

What Should I Consider BEFORE Treatment (Pre-TreatmentAdvice)?

-ALLERGY TESTING - Testing prior to a procedure is recommended for persons with very sensitive skin, and those who have a history of allergic reactions. Please schedule a separate consultation so we can conduct an allergy test to rule out any allergic reactions. You also have the option to WAIVE allergy test. If you've ever received any type of hair color service and had NO NEGATIVE REACTION, you should be fine.

-IRRITATED SKIN AND BLEMISHES - Please wait until any irritated skin has healed before booking your appointment. This includes rosacea, eczema, blemishes, sunburns, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, electrolysis, botox and filler procedures.

-OILY SKIN - Those with oilier skin may not hold pigment as well as others. You may have this service, but be aware your tattoo may fade faster and hair strokes may not stay as crisp, resulting in a more powdery look. You may opt for a combo brow for better retention. (oily skin clients may need a third session to make up for significant fading)

-PREVIOUS TATTOOING -  If you have previous tattooing by another artist, you MUST be approved before you can be seen! Send me a current photo of your eyebrows, with details of how many times you've had them done and the date of your last procedure. Whether or not I can correct your previous tattooing, and provide the desired result will depend on the state of your current tattoo. You may require color correction/camouflage/tattoo removal before you are a candidate for further procedures.

-SOCIAL EVENTS/VACATIONS - Scabbing and peeling of the tattooed area is a normal part of the healing process, and does not make for good pictures. It takes about 2-3 weeks for the brow area to finish exfoliating, and to be healed enough for makeup application. Tattooing takes 5-8 weeks to completely heal. During this time, sun exposure, excessive sweating and alcohol consumption, heat, swimming, and the like must be avoided. Please make sure to schedule your procedure around social events such as weddings and vacations as to not compromise your tattoo.

-DIABETES - Sometimes have trouble healing, longer heal time.

-KELOID SCARRING - This service IS NOT advisable if you have keloid skin!

-BLOOD THINNING MEDICATION - Check with your physician first.

-POOR COLOR DEPOSIT - The following must be avoided to ensure proper color retention a week before your procedure. Fish oils and Vitamin E supplements, coffee and energy drinks, aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief.

-LITHIUM - Cosmetic tattooing has been shown not to hold well with those taking this medication. May need additional treatments.

-ALLERGIES TO LIDOCAINE/BENZOCAINE/EPINEPHRINE - These ingredients are found in anesthesia. If you are allergic, this service IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

-ALLERGIES TO LATEX - Please let me know so I may use appropriate gloves during the procedure.

-HEART PROBLEMS - Doctors clearance is necessary.

-CANCER/CHEMOTHERAPY - Doctors clearance is necessary

-PREGNANCY/BREASTFEEDING - Cosmetic Tattooing is not advisable.

-SHINGLES (Varicella) - If you have shingles on your face, wait several months for it to clear before booking this service.

-AHA’s - (lactic, glycolic, citric, retinoic, hyaluronic and tartaric acids) or any OTC creams and lotions for tone correcting, anti-aging, exfoliating, encourages fading and can discolor your eyebrows. Completely avoiding the eyebrow area when applying these products will help prevent these issues.

-ALCOHOL/IBUPROFEN USE -  It recommended not to use either product within 24 hour before your service.
